Osteoporosis Workshop
Many individuals are afflicted with the disease of Osteoporosis and many individuals are at a high risk of getting Osteoporosis. This can sometimes become a debilitating disease.
Osteoporosis is a disease that leads to an increased risk of bone fracture. It occurs more often in women than in men, especially after menopause. Lifestyle changes can reduce risks of osteoporosis .
I have developed a “Lifestyle Awareness Workshop”. In this workshop I explain what osteoporosis is and how to prevent it. You will learn which habits increase your risk of osteoporosis and how lifestyle changes have a positive effect. These lifestyle changes concern both changes in exercise and in nutrition.
I therefore stress the types of exercises beneficial to lowering risks of osteoporosis. If you do have osteopenia or osteoporosis i show you the kinds of safe movements and exercises to increase bone density. You will also learn about simple dietary changes that contribute to a lower risk of osteoporosis.
The workshop includes a gallery walk, game playing, and movement awareness, to bring participants to a better understanding. A fruitful interchange with the audience is encouraged. A sample take‐home “Lifestyle Habit Changer” (to be sent by e-mail), will be included in the Welcome Package, and will be discussed during the workshop.
Please contact me if you are interested. Remember: a personal trainer will help you increase your bone mass with the correct exercises for you!
